Our universe is full of mysterious objects and our own solar system is also very interesting and it has puzzled the scientists. Whether it’s the Bermuda Triangle in space or a suspected alien probe, there are a number of things that are forcing scientists to scratch their heads.
Here we will tell you about five strange space objects that you may not even know exist.
Space Bermuda Triangle
There is a place in the Earth’s magnetic field called the South Atlantic Anomaly (SAA), some astronauts have reported strange things happening there.
As the International Space Station passed through the area, some astronauts experienced bright light.
The brightness is thought to be due to radiation belts in the area that could cause a reaction in the astronaut’s retina.
The Hubble Space Telescope is unable to collect data in this area due to radiation.
The mystery surrounding the SAA has earned it the nickname ‘Space Bermuda Triangle’.
Oumuamua is the first interstellar object to appear in our solar system, leaving us with more questions than answers.
Scientists are proposing a 22-year mission for the reddish-brown cigar-shaped object, which some people dubbed the “Alien Probe” when it was first discovered.
Oumuamua was first spotted in 2017 and left researchers wondering how such a strange interstellar object could have entered our inner solar system.
It moves much faster than a planet and has no debris like a normal asteroid.
What could be more, his ideas range from a piece of an exoplanet to an alien spacecraft.
It is still in our solar system, but it is now beyond the reach of all our telescopes.
Red rectangular nebula
A nebula is a cloud of gas and dust that apparently floats in space.
They are numerous in space, but some of them are more bizarre than others.
The red rectangular nebula is about 2,300 light-years from Earth.
Scientists do not know why it is in this shape, but it could be due to the sending of shock waves of two stars in the middle and forming dust circles.
The definition of its reddish color has also not been agreed upon.
Elst – Pizarro
This flying space object is often called asteroid, but it also reflects the properties of the planet, which has caused much debate among astronomers.
Although it rotates inside the asteroid belt, behind it is a tail of dust like a meteorite.
It is the only known celestial object showing both of these features, so astronomers were hoping to solve the mystery by launching the Castalia spacecraft in 2028 to see it up close.
Sadly, the mission failed to receive significant financial support.
Pink space bubbles
These space bubbles are not technically outside the solar system but are said to affect them.
Fermi bubbles are two large space structures rising above and below the center of the galaxy.
Research has shown that these bubbles were created from a supermassive black hole in the Milky Way.
The bubbles protrude out of the Milky Way in the form of a glass hourglass, and are essentially the substance coming out of a black hole.
They were spotted in 2015 by NASA’s Fermi Gamma Ray Telescope.
They are said to be composed entirely of gamma rays and have a length of about 50,000 light years.
