Android 13 is fast approaching our smartphones, as evidenced by the launch of the second beta for the public. Shortly after the availability of Beta 1, Android 13 introduced Beta 2 on the occasion of Google I / O, during which Mountain View Company introduced the new features introduced through this version.
The interface is better
As expected, the update for Android 13 Beta 2 brings new options to customize the interface. The Monet theme, which automatically adapts to the selected wallpaper, is full of filters that allow you to play with color, saturation and contrast, among other things.
In addition, third-party applications may eventually benefit from this dynamic theme, and the possibilities for application icons (even third-party) are increasing, which are tailored to the chosen theme.
Still, with regard to the UI, there is a new look for the media player: the progress bar for that part that has already been heard and the album cover appears in the background.
Google’s privacy and services
Google does not forget about privacy options in Android 13 Beta 2. Applications must now request permission to send notifications. They must also request permission to freely access all types of media (image, video, audio), whereas so far there was only one permission covering all three media. Fewer apps will access the location. In addition, the clipboard history is automatically deleted on a permanent basis.

A function that allows you to choose the language for each application individually has been integrated, and several Google services have taken advantage of some interesting additions: grouping with messages via RCS Conversation end-to-end encryption, Google Wallet which allows you to save the identity of documents. (For now in US)
Finally, Android 13 opens a quick pairing for more models of audio headphones and earphones. Source switching will also be better managed, as Bluetooth LED support and local audio are on the way.
