Apple Snatche No One Position From Samsung

As demand for iPhones soared during the last quarter of 2021, Apple snatched the number one position from Samsung a year later.

Between October and December 2021, Apple sold more smartphones than any other company, according to Canals, a company that monitors smartphone sales.

Earlier, in the third quarter of 2021, Apple pushed Xiaomi down to the second position and now it has overtaken Samsung to become the number one company.

This is the result of the huge demand for the iPhone 13 series.

According to the report, there is no precedent for iPhone sales in China during this period, even when Apple’s supply chain is unable to produce iPhones in line with demand.

The report said it could take years for chip companies to increase their productivity.

Samsung was the world’s number one company from January to September 2021, but in the last quarter Apple once again became the number one company.

One of the main reasons for this is the introduction of new iPhones in September, which boosts sales of the company’s devices.

From October to December 2021, Apple’s market share was 22%, while Samsung came in second with 20%.

Xiaomi, Oppo and Vivo ranked third, fourth and 5th respectively with market share of 12, 9 and 8% respectively.

According to the report, due to supply chain issues, the sales of smartphones increased by only one percent compared to the last quarter of 2020.

The report further states that this crisis of parts will be resolved during the second half of 2022.
