The Punjab Curriculum and Textbook Board has given approval of the condensed syllabus for the secondary and intermediate level elective subjects. it is informed to all candidates who are going to appear in the exams for academic session 2020-2021 that they check the syllabus issued by the concerned authorities. The candidates are directed to follow the condensed syllabus/Accelerating learning program to prepare for the annual exams of matric and intermediate. This year the educational institutes have been closed for a long time period so in order to facilitate the students the respective officials have reduced the syllabus so that they can prepare the course work before the conduction of the exams.
Smart Syllabus For Elective Subjects
For the academic session 2021, the board authorities will hold the annual exams of elective subjects only. The decision had been earlier announced by the federal minister for education and professional training, Shafqat Mahmood. In the previous year, the students got promoted without appearing in the annual exams but for the current academic year, it has been clarified that it is mandatory for the students to take the annual exams to get promoted to the next grade.
The Decision of PCTB
The meeting of the Punjab Curriculum and Textbook board was held on 26th June 2021 in which the condensed syllabus was approved for the elective subjects that include management of better homes, embroidery, child development, and family living, sariki, Fazil Arabic, Adeeb Arabic, Aalim Arabic, Fazil Urdu, Adeeb Urdu, Fazil Persian, Fazil Punjabi, Adeeb Punjabi, Dental hygiene, Pashto, and Medical laboratory technology. The reduced syllabus announced by the PCTB is applicable to all the educational institutes of Punjab, and Azad Jammu, and Kashmir and the board of intermediate and secondary education for the upcoming secondary and intermediate annual exams 2021.
