Government College University GCU Lahore has introduced an international standard rating system to measure the performance of its academic disciplines.
Honors will also be given to the teachers of the three best departments of GCU. Use of Student Advisor System in the Departmental Performance Monitoring System, Design of Greeting System, Latest Courses, Handbook Quality, Seminars, Conferences and Training Workshops Conduct scores are also included.
Vice Chancellor of GCU Prof. Dr. Asghar Zaidi said that regular meetings of Research Supervisory Committees and Board of Studies in the university ranking system, and introduction of new courses and educational programs would also be important.
Professor Zaidi believed that the rating system, developed after a long consultation process, would improve the teaching process at the university.
The Vice Chancellor said that the teachers of the first three departments who have shown good performance will be honored for which money is being allocated in the budget.
Professor Zaidi assured the teachers and students that they are taking all possible steps to introduce world class best practices in GCU.
The grading system will start from next academic year. Earlier, GCU Lahore has also announced to change the 22-year-old student grading system.
