The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has developed a mobile app for making identity cards online.
According to a statement issued by the NADRA spokesperson, the Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan inaugurated the world’s first state-of-the-art ‘Pak Identity’ app developed in the IT Lab of the National Database and Registration Authority.
According to NADRA, after the development of this online ID Card app, for the first time in the world, thanks to the latest technology in Pakistan, fingerprints will also be available on mobile phones for making identity cards. The mobile app program will be able to obtain live biometrics (fingerprints) on mobile as well as verification.
Chairman NADRA Tariq Malik said that the facility of obtaining fingerprints through mobile is the beginning of a new era, this initiative can revolutionize many sectors of the economy.
Chairman NADRA said that with the use of this technology in the digital sector, promising Pakistani youth will not only be able to introduce many new products, services and facilities.
Tariq Malik also said that the confidence of big online global companies like Amazon and PayPal would increase while companies like Amazon would also be inclined to expand their business in Pakistan and provide their services and facilities to Pakistani consumers.
Chairman NADRA Tariq Malik further said that on the NADRA Online ID Card mobile app introduced by NADRA, Pakistanis living abroad can also submit online application for renewal or change of identity card while citizens can also avail this facility at the click of a button. Will be.
