NCOC Decides To Start Classes As Usual From 11 October

Federal Minister for Planning Asad Omar has said that the National Command and Operations Center NCOC has decided to start classes as usual in all educational institutions from October 11.

In a statement released on the social networking site Twitter, Asad Omar said, “Based on the reduction in the spread of the disease and the launch of the school vaccination program, it was decided at today’s NCOC meeting that all educational institutions should be closed on Monday.” Classes should be allowed to start as usual from October.

Last month, Federal Minister for Education Shafqat Mahmood announced the opening of all educational institutions across the country from September 16.

Shafqat Mahmood said in his Twitter message that he was happy to announce that all educational institutions across the country would reopen from September 16.

A statement from the NCOC said that all institutions across the country would be open from September 16, but only 50 per cent of students would be allowed to attend classes.

The statement said that during this period, the disease will be closely monitored in the NCOC on a daily basis and important decisions can be taken to control the disease if necessary.

Earlier, educational institutions were closed for two weeks on the recommendation of the NCOC due to increasing cases of COD-19 during the fourth wave of Corona in the country.

It should be noted that earlier this year, the government had closed educational institutions in all provinces, including the federal capital Islamabad, after the third wave of the virus in the country.
