Microsoft has said that all its users can use other methods to sign in by removing the password for their Microsoft account.
The company introduced this facility for businesses in early 2021, but now it is being extended to all consumers.
Users will now be able to use the Windows Authenticator app Windows Hello instead of remembering passwords or using the password manager.
This app will provide users with a security key or SMS or email codes.
This way users will be able to sign in to various services like OneDrive, Outlook Microsoft Family Safety and Xbox Series XS without this word.
The service will be rolled out to all users by Microsoft over the next few weeks.
According to the company, the password will be switched off after connecting the account to Windows Hello.
To do this, go to Microsoft Account Settings, go to Advanced Security Options and go to Additional Security where you can switch the account to Passwordless option.
Users will be able to reactivate the password, but other ways to sign in will be safer, according to the company.
