The Pakistan Medical Commission PMC has released PMC Transfer Policy for medical and dental colleges in 2022. According to the PMC Medical and Dental Undergraduate Education Regulations 2021, a candidate enrolled in a college can apply for transfer for MBBS and BDS admission to another college, following the relevant instructions.
Candidates should successfully complete their respective years in the actual college of admission.
Candidates must apply for transfer to another college and the seats should be vacant in the relevant year of the college.
In the case of more than one candidate for transfer to a vacant seat, the student has the highest merit as per the policy of the university to which the transferring college is attached.
Candidates must meet the requirements as per the college transfer policy to apply for admission in BDS and MBBS.
Foreign students seeking transfer to a Pakistani college must be eligible for the required NEB exam for the relevant academic year to gain admission.
PMC Transfer Policy
The college should inform the authority within 14 days that any student registered in PMC has left the college as a result of which the seat is vacant. Throughout the academic year, the college must display on its website the number of vacancies available each academic year. The college should provide an online link to enable interested candidates to apply for the vacant seat at any time during the academic year. A candidate who has failed or been expelled from his / her professional examination will not be accepted by the college for transfer. The expelled student can apply for admission in another college in the first year after fulfilling the admission criteria as per PMC regulations.
