The Punjab Boards Committee of Chairmen PBCC issued a policy regarding the improvement of SSC and HSSC marks which was finalized in the meeting held on March 11, 2022. The recommendations approved by the committee are for Punjab Board Matric Inter Marks Improvement Policy 2022 are:

  • Candidates who wish to improve their marks and grades in SSC or HSSC examinations will be required to take 4 examinations with current and previous syllabus within a period of 3 years after passing Matric and Inter examinations. Opportunities will be provided. Candidates should not be admitted in any higher education if they want to improve their marks during this period.
  • It will be up to the candidate whether he/she wants to appear for the improvement of Part-I or any of the Part-IIany subject/subjects. The candidate can avail of this opportunity four times in a period of three years and once the candidate has improved his / her marks, he/she will not be allowed to appear again.

  • Further higher education means completion of HSSC examinations for students appearing for SSC examinations and completion of any BS or equivalent degree/associate degree in Arts and Sciences for students appearing for HSSC examinations.
  • E or D grade candidates have four chances within 3 years to take their results to at least C grade (50% marks).
  • Students are requested to submit an affidavit in case of improvement in handouts after a gap of 2 years. The affidavit will prove that the student did not acquire any higher qualifications during these years.

  • The results issued by the board and the certificate will mention the number of attempts of the candidate.
  • All other rules of excellence examinations will remain the same in all the boards of Punjab.
  • As informed by the Punjab Board Committee of Chairman, students of SSC and HSSC annual examinations after 2020 can take advantage of this opportunity to improve their results.
