Realme GT 2 Pro Will Compete With Top-end Models

The Realme brand presented its new smartphone as a spearhead, the Realme GT 2 Pro. This one wants to compete with the high-end models of other manufacturers by showing a rather muscular configuration in a rather sober design. The realme GT 2 is also official. Here are all the details.

Contrary to what was expected, it is not the design of the realme GT 2 pro that we showed you at the beginning of December and whose lines of the smartphone are directly inspired by the Google Nexus 6P or the recent  Google Pixel 6 or Pixel 6 Pro . No, finally, it’s with a much more classic design than the realme GT 2 Pro introduces himself.

Indeed, its optical unit looks like others with two main sensors integrated within a circle of identical diameter and associated with a third sensor, on the plate, but slightly offset. However, note that this is the first smartphone in the world to use bio-based polymer, which makes the brand say that the design of its back cover has reduced the carbon footprint by 35.5% compared to a classic model. In addition, also be aware that realme uses recyclable materials and soy-based ink for the packaging of the device.

What components to face the competition?

Technically, the realme GT 2 Pro is based on a 10-bit AMOLED screen compatible with HDR10 + and embeds LPTO 2.0 technology which allows it to have a variable refresh rate between 1 and 120 Hz as needed. To work, the mobile is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip engraved in 4 nm that we will find on all the most high-end models of this year, including the Xiaomi 12 already announced.

For photos, the realme GT 2 Pro uses a 50 megapixel Sony IMX766 main sensor with a stabilizer, like on the OnePlus 9 Pro , for example, but also the Oppo Find X3 Pro , the  Oppo Reno6 Pro or the OnePlus Nord 2 , for example. Next to it, there is another 50 megapixel sensor signed Samsung this time capable of taking images over 150 degrees. A fisheye mode is provided in the Camera application.

Also note that the device has a latest sensor dedicated to microscopy, like the Find X3 Pro. To power all this, the realme GT 2 Pro relies on a battery with a capacity of 5000 mAh supporting the load at 67 watts. The mobile offers Dolby Atmos compatible stereo sound and runs on Android 12 with a realme UI 3.0 software overlay.

A less powerful realme GT 2

The realme GT 2 (short) was also presented. It has the same components as the Pro version but offers an AMOLED E4 120 H z screen, a Snapdragon 888 and a stainless steel steam cooling system. Also note the replacement of the second photo sensor by an 8 megapixel module.

The new realme GT 2 Pro smartphone will be offered in several versions: 8 + 128 GB, 12 + 256 GB or 12 + 512 GB. They will be available in white, green, black or blue.
